Purchasing Manager (Sourcing focus, Supplier Intelligence)

About the role

We are seeking an analytical and forward‑thinking Purchasing Manager with a focus on sourcing and supplier intelligence to strengthen our finished‑goods sourcing strategy across Asia and emerging markets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive proactive supplier scouting across APAC, pre‑qualify high‑potential finished‑goods suppliers and maintain a robust sourcing pipeline.
• Conduct in‑depth market research and map emerging manufacturing zones, especially in Southeast Asia, to diversify sourcing and mitigate geographic risk.
• Monitor competitors’ manufacturing footprints, partnerships and capacity shifts, and analyse macro‑economic factors that affect supplier stability.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers with advanced technologies, innovative capabilities and strong environmental practices.
• Perform comprehensive supplier assessments covering technical capabilities, quality systems and financial health, and produce structured intelligence reports with actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Purchasing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in purchasing/sourcing.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Southeast Asia and Mainland China.
• Professional experience in supplier management, costing and negotiation.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
