Experienced Senior Tax Accountant – Banking & Asset Management

About the role

EY’s Financial Services International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team in Hong Kong advises leading banks and asset managers on tax compliance, transaction support and emerging tax matters across Asia‑Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advice and support on a range of transactions and financial products.
• Review clients’ existing practices and develop industry‑leading tax control frameworks.
• Assist clients in creating and maintaining processes, procedures and documentation to manage tax risk across APAC.
• Monitor changes to tax legislation and regulations, communicate impacts to clients and coordinate delivery of sophisticated deliverables.
• Build client relationships, understand client businesses and deliver high‑quality, timely services.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, taxation, economics, finance or law (advanced degree desirable).
• At least 2 years of Hong Kong tax compliance or advisory experience in a large public accounting firm or financial institution.
• Experience in banking or asset management is a plus; multi‑jurisdiction exposure advantageous.
• Strong negotiation abilities, team orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Effective organization and time‑management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
