Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director will act as the strategic finance leader for a multinational group, overseeing cross‑border financial operations in Hong Kong and other overseas markets. The role partners with senior management to drive regional expansion, improve profitability and strengthen governance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long‑term financial planning and variance analysis for regional operations.
• Conduct project profitability, pricing, cost‑benefit and margin enhancement analyses.
• Prepare board‑level financial reports and strategic presentations for executive decision‑making.
• Direct end‑to‑end finance and accounting processes, including consolidation, month‑end/ year‑end close, AP/AR, payroll and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with HKFRS, IFRS and applicable overseas statutory regulations.
• Manage multi‑currency treasury operations, foreign‑exchange risk, cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital optimisation.
• Design and implement finance policies, internal control frameworks and ERP‑driven process improvements.
• Lead external statutory audits, internal audits and remediation activities across multiple locations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in international financial management and cross‑border finance operations.
• Proven track record in treasury, foreign‑exchange risk control and multi‑currency environments.
• Strong knowledge of HKFRS, IFRS and overseas statutory compliance.
• Experience partnering with senior leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
• Ability to lead finance transformation projects and mentor finance teams.
