Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Director to lead the regional finance function of a leading international financial institution. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational responsibility across accounting, regulatory reporting, taxation and financial control for a multi‑entity platform.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the full regional finance agenda, including financial accounting, statutory and management reporting, regulatory submissions, taxation and compliance.
• Establish and enhance finance governance, policies, procedures and internal controls while driving standardisation and automation across entities.
• Partner with senior business, risk and credit stakeholders to assess performance, asset quality, provisions and stressed exposures.
• Lead the annual budget, forecasting and multi‑year strategic‑planning cycle, aligning plans with Group priorities and monitoring KPIs.
• Develop and maintain the regional capital‑management framework in coordination with Group Treasury and regulators.
• Sponsor finance transformation and cost‑management initiatives, including system migrations, centralisation programmes and operating‑model changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience in banking or regulated financial services, with 7‑10 years in senior finance leadership.
• Strong external‑audit background, preferably with a Big Four firm, followed by extensive in‑house experience.
• Deep expertise in financial and regulatory reporting, local accounting standards, supervisory returns, capital and liquidity planning, budgeting and performance management.
• Proven track record of leading finance teams across multiple entities, functions or locations and partnering effectively with executive stakeholders.
