Finance Director – SME

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the finance function for a well‑established SME, overseeing accounting, treasury, tax and financial governance across multiple jurisdictions. This senior position partners closely with business leaders to drive operational efficiency and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and consolidation activities.
• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, financing arrangements and cash‑management processes.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and treasury operations to support growth.
• Oversee corporate tax compliance, statutory reporting and regulatory requirements in all operating regions.
• Ensure robust internal controls, financial governance and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support audits and coordinate with external advisors, auditors, banks and regulators.
• Drive financial systems improvements, data accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Prepare management reports, board presentations and financial analyses for executive decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with CPA, ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent qualification.
• 15‑20 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including senior leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, treasury, banking, tax and financial controls.
• Experience in regional or multinational environments is preferred.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
