Financial Accountant – APAC

About the role

The Financial Accountant – APAC will ensure the accuracy, integrity and timely delivery of financial accounting and reporting across Sinclair’s APAC markets. This hands‑on regional finance position covers month‑end close, consolidation, statutory and tax coordination, financial controls, management reporting and commercial finance support for entities such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and others.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial close for assigned APAC entities.
• Prepare and review journals, accruals, pre‑payments and other adjustments.
• Maintain general ledger records and supporting documentation.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Ensure correct accounting treatment of revenue, costs, assets and liabilities.
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
• Support fixed‑asset accounting, depreciation and asset reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory‑related accounting.
• Consolidate APAC financial results and prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages.
• Analyse actual performance versus budget, forecast and prior year, identifying variances and accounting issues.

Required profile

• Experience in financial accounting, month‑end close and consolidation within a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.
• Ability to work across several APAC countries and legal entities.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and group accounting policies.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
