Financial Controller – APAC

About the role

The Financial Controller – APAC will lead the finance function for a global manufacturing organisation across the Asia‑Pacific region, operating from Hong Kong. This senior position is responsible for driving financial control, cost optimisation and strategic decision‑making to support the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end regional financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for APAC manufacturing sites.
• Manage finance for manufacturing facilities, covering standard costing models, bill of materials (BOM) and inventory valuation.
• Recruit, mentor and develop a high‑performing regional finance and accounting team.
• Partner with operational, supply‑chain and commercial leaders to improve manufacturing costs and gross margins.
• Ensure compliance with regional tax regulations, statutory reporting and corporate governance across all APAC jurisdictions.
• Lead ERP system enhancements and standardise financial reporting workflows throughout the region.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• HKICPA, CPA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 12 years of financial management experience, with at least 3‑5 years in a leadership role within manufacturing.
• Proven APAC regional exposure and experience with complex manufacturing cost accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead regional finance teams.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Strong technical proficiency with tier‑one ERP systems.
