Senior Relationship Manager, Private Banking

About the role

RBC is hiring a Senior Relationship Manager for its private banking business in Hong Kong. You will build and develop a high-quality client franchise, working closely with investment, wealth planning, credit and product specialists to deliver holistic solutions for High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients across Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Build, develop and manage long-term HNW and UHNW client relationships
• Originate new client relationships and sustainably grow AUM, revenue and the client franchise
• Understand clients' investment, financing and wealth-planning objectives and deliver appropriate solutions with product specialists
• Leverage RBC's broader capabilities to provide holistic solutions across clients' wealth needs
• Act as a trusted adviser and ambassador for RBC in the market
• Maintain the highest standards of suitability, KYC, AML, due diligence and cross-border compliance
• Collaborate across Private Banking and the wider RBC franchise to deepen client relationships and identify opportunities

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience advising HNW/UHNW clients within private banking or wealth management
• Demonstrated track record of acquiring, developing and retaining sophisticated client relationships
• Established market connectivity and ability to build a sustainable client franchise
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, the regulatory qualifications and registrations required in Singapore or Hong Kong
• Nice to have: degree education; Certified ECF qualification preferred
• Hong Kong-based appointments are subject to the Mandatory Reference Check Scheme (MRCS)

• Strong understanding of investments, credit and broader wealth management solutions
• Commercial judgement and sound understanding of regulatory, suitability and risk requirements
• Ability to collaborate with investment, product and wealth planning specialists
