Financial Controller – Family Office (FX, Hedge Funds, PE, Equities)

About the role

The client seeks an experienced Financial Controller to oversee accounting and reporting for a diversified family office portfolio that includes FX, hedge funds, private equity and equities investments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers for multiple family investments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and expense reconciliation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual tax planning and filing.
• Monitor bank accounts, execute wire transfers and manage capital calls for private investments.
• Streamline office operational policies and data‑management systems.
• Maintain relationships with banks, custodians, brokers and other vendors.
• Support settlement of investments across futures, equities, FX, hedge funds and private equity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA qualification.
• At least 8 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a family office, hedge fund or wealth‑management environment.
• Strong self‑starter mindset with exceptional organisational abilities.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
