Financial Controller – Global Finance Lead

About the role

We are looking for a high‑impact Financial Controller to build and lead the global finance function of a fast‑growing Series A semiconductor startup. This role will be pivotal in ensuring data integrity across multi‑country operations while supporting rapid scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the bookkeeper and manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping and payment processing.
• Close monthly, quarterly and annual books on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and coordinate with international tax and accounting consultants.
• Consolidate multi‑currency books and prepare group financial statements.
• Support payroll systems and manage cash flow, bank accounts, and forecasts.
• Produce regular internal reports, board decks and investor presentations.
• Prepare for external audits and drive clean yearly financial reviews.
• Design and implement automated financial tools and scalable accounting workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial control, preferably in a tech startup or VC‑backed environment.
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑currency bookkeeping and cross‑border tax regulations.
• Professional finance qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent).
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across time zones.

Required skills

• Expert use of QuickBooks or similar modern financial software.
• Familiarity with global payroll platforms such as Remote or Deel.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace applications.
