Freelance Investment Research Analyst – APAC

About the role

Gain is expanding its research coverage across the APAC region and seeks freelance investment research analysts to support its global private‑markets platform. You will work on a project basis, delivering analytical insights that help top private‑equity teams evaluate and execute deals.

Key responsibilities

• Company profiling: collect and process financial data, synthesize business, market and M&A track‑record overviews.
• Deal opportunity mapping: build integrated views of platform and add‑on deal opportunities for leading PE clients.
• Sector research: contribute to niche sector analyses and regular research initiatives.
• Platform insights: provide feedback and support for ad‑hoc projects aimed at improving data quality and workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or a 3rd‑year Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous internship experience in private equity, investment banking or strategy consulting.
• Strong academic record in economics, business or a quantitative discipline from a leading university.
