Full-stack Software Engineer, Asia Pacific & Middle East

About the role

We are looking for a Full‑stack Software Engineer to own and evolve our e‑commerce platforms across the Asia Pacific and Middle East markets. The role is based in Hong Kong and will work closely with regional business teams and the core engineering group.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned applications, from design and development to deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Design, develop and maintain full‑stack solutions including frontend (React, Next.js), backend services (Node.js, NestJS), APIs, databases and internal tools.
• Provide L2 support, investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
• Collaborate with regional users, core engineers and external vendors to deliver system enhancements and new feature releases.
• Monitor application performance, ensure security, reliability and operational efficiency using observability tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience in production environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS (React Native and PHP are a plus).
• Design and integration of RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on AWS.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, code review and automated testing.
• Knowledge of application monitoring, logging and observability tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Shopify app development, APIs, webhooks and system integrations.
