General Ledger Accountant – Greater China

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled General Ledger Accountant to join LRQA’s Greater China finance team. The role will support month‑end closing, consolidation and financial reporting for 22 legal entities, ensuring accurate recording and analysis of financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the G/L leader in Hong Kong with month‑end closing activities, including consolidation review, revenue recognition and reconciliation of accrued and deferred income.
• Manage business direct costs such as subcontractor fees and travel expenses, and prepare related accrual journals.
• Calculate and post transfer pricing entries, monitor intercompany imbalances and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings.
• Collaborate with external advisors on statutory account preparation and group account reconciliation.
• Support the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting and audit experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multicultural, cross‑functional teams.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Navision, Microsoft Dynamics, BPC, SAP or SAP ByDesign.
