Global Markets Associate - HK Blue Chip & NBFI Portfolio

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Global Markets Associate in Hong Kong to support the sales activities of the HK Blue Chip and Non-Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) sector portfolio. The role involves promoting market-related products, executing complex trades independently and helping senior colleagues prepare materials for high-level pitches.

Key responsibilities

• Support sales business activities and help the HK Blue Chip and NBFI portfolio meet KPIs and budgetary targets.
• Promote products such as foreign exchange, FX derivatives, interest rate derivatives and securities products.
• Independently execute flow trades in FX, FX derivatives and interest rate derivatives, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare pre- and post-trade documentation and follow up on transactions.
• Support Vice Presidents or Directors during complex solution pitches by preparing marketing materials, simulating market scenarios and sharing ideas.
• Stay informed on market data and client activity to maintain client relationships and spot new business opportunities.
• Adhere to regulations, internal controls and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with regional teams and take part in management reporting and ad hoc projects.

Required profile

• University degree in banking, finance or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or global markets, with hands-on sales experience.
• HKMA Type 1 and Type 4 licences are essential.
• FRM or CFA qualifications are considered advantageous.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Bloomberg terminals.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork abilities.
