Head of Data Architecture – Asia Data Office

About the role

The Asia Data Office is looking for a senior leader to define and govern the enterprise data and AI architecture across the region. This director‑level position will shape the strategy, ensure alignment with global standards, and drive the delivery of secure, scalable, cloud‑native data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define the Asia‑wide data and AI architecture vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Establish target‑state designs for data, analytics and AI platforms, ensuring compliance with regional regulations.
• Own end‑to‑end solution architecture for critical initiatives, guaranteeing scalability, modularity and production readiness.
• Design and govern cloud‑native platforms on Azure and Alicloud, promoting Data Fabric, Lakehouse and Data Mesh patterns where appropriate.
• Create reusable blueprints, patterns and accelerators for GenAI, RAG, feature stores and MLOps.
• Standardise data models, pipelines, lineage, metadata, cataloguing and master/reference data management.
• Implement data security, privacy and responsible AI controls aligned with regulations such as India DPDP and China CSL/PIPL.
• Lead architecture governance forums, drive cross‑market alignment and support vendor selection.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading enterprise data and AI architecture at a regional or global scale.
• Deep understanding of cloud‑native data platforms, modern data architectures and regulatory compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to partner with IT, security, data, AI and business leaders.
