Head of Strategy & Business Planning – Personal Banking

About the role

We are looking for a visionary leader to head the newly created Strategy & Business Planning Department within our Personal Banking Division. Reporting to the General Manager, you will act as the primary strategic partner, shaping long‑term growth, financial performance, and organisational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute divisional strategies and business plans aligned with the bank’s overall objectives.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management to drive profitability.
• Provide data‑driven insights and business intelligence to support executive decision‑making.
• Monitor performance through robust KPI frameworks and regular management reporting.
• Champion data analytics to uncover opportunities, improve customer outcomes and inform strategy.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the bank to ensure alignment and achieve business goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee strategic and operational risks.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field; MBA, CFA or CPA is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in banking or financial services, including at least 8 years in senior leadership.
• Strong background in strategic planning, financial management and retail banking.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
