Installation Engineering Leader

About the role

We are seeking an Installation Engineering Leader to join Alstom’s Hong Kong team. The role will oversee the engineering studies and activities that support the installation and commissioning of signalling systems for MTR projects, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and manage the list of deliverables, schedule and workload, using reference libraries and gap analysis.
• Ensure all deliverables meet project execution requirements, including customer specifications, subcontractor expectations and local regulations.
• Support field teams—installation supervisors, site managers and installation team leaders—to review deliverables and prepare design modifications or change requests.
• Organise design drawing transmittals from the design team to the installation team and obtain site approvals.
• Lead civil, trackwork and electrical interface drawings, defining signalling equipment space requirements and applicable provisions.
• Liaise with BIM coordinators to coordinate common installation engineering studies and deliverables.
• Monitor and negotiate access dates to interface provisions, ensuring contractual obligations are satisfied.
• Prepare installation material specifications and the installation Bill of Quantities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in installation engineering for rail signalling projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil, trackwork and electrical interface drawings.
• Ability to work closely with field teams and manage design modifications.
• Familiarity with EHS (Zero Deviation) and regulatory compliance standards.
• Leadership skills to supervise installation engineering engineers.
