IT Systems Director – Clearing & Settlement

About the role

Our client, a leading financial market infrastructure organization in Asia, operates large‑scale, highly regulated technology platforms that underpin market stability and operational resilience. The IT Systems Director will lead the design, development and implementation of clearing, settlement and collateral management solutions, ensuring they are reliable, scalable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and deployment of post‑trade technology solutions across clearing, settlement and collateral management.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability and security to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver technology initiatives and system upgrades.
• Oversee compliance with industry standards and regulations, and manage risk mitigation for post‑trade systems.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams and manage budgets and resources for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in system design and development, with at least 5 years in a management or technical leadership role.
• Strong background in IT and post‑trade systems within the financial services industry.
• Proven experience leading technology projects focused on post‑trade operations.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making and communication skills.
