About the role
We are seeking an energetic Junior Cook to join The Optimist, a Barcelona‑inspired Northern Spanish grill located on Hennessy Road. You will support senior chefs across hot, cold, and tapas stations, ensuring dishes are prepared to our high standards and delivered promptly.
Key responsibilities
- Set up work stations and kitchen sections before service.
- Prepare hot and cold dishes according to recipes.
- Assist senior chefs during busy periods.
- Maintain strict health, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Required profile
- Minimum of 1 year kitchen experience.
- Genuine interest in cooking and learning new techniques.
- Positive attitude with a teamwork mindset.
- Responsible and reliable in assigned duties.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Required skills
- Food preparation.
- Kitchen hygiene and safety practices.
