Lead Interior Designer - Hospitality & Lifestyle

About the role

A senior, client-facing Lead Interior Designer is sought by a hospitality and lifestyle design practice based in Hong Kong. The role covers 2-3 concurrent client accounts such as hotels, restaurants, members' clubs and wellness spaces, and focuses on design excellence, team leadership and client relationships, without responsibility for contract negotiation, procurement or financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of interior designers, guiding concept development through to design execution
• Act as the primary creative and client-facing contact for 2-3 key accounts, building long-term, trusted relationships
• Present design concepts, mood boards and schemes to clients and stakeholders
• Translate client briefs and brand narratives into on-brand interior design concepts
• Oversee design quality and consistency across concept, schematic and design development stages
• Coordinate with internal design teams so the creative vision is delivered on time and to a high standard
• Give creative direction and constructive feedback to junior and mid-level designers
• Stay current with hospitality and lifestyle design trends, materials and innovations

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior interior design role in hospitality, hotels, F&B or lifestyle sectors
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a design team
• Strong track record managing multiple client relationships at once
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, confident with senior client stakeholders
• Design portfolio showing concept development and hospitality/lifestyle projects
• Based in or willing to relocate to Hong Kong; fluency in English required, Cantonese or Mandarin an advantage
