Live TV News Producer

About the role

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced Live TV News Producer to join its Asia headquarters in Hong Kong. Working closely with the Asia Senior Producer, you will help shape editorial strategy and produce up to eight hours of live weekday programming covering Asia and the Middle East for Bloomberg’s global audience.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and manage live television news shows in a fast‑paced control‑room environment.
• Collaborate with the Senior Producer to define long‑term editorial strategy, program design and market coverage.
• Select and prioritize market, finance, economics and policy stories for a global client base.
• Write, script and produce high‑impact news segments, including on‑air data visualisations and graphic elements.
• Deputise for the Senior Producer, leading the team and running the control room in their absence.
• Coordinate coverage across Asia‑Pacific, the United States and EMEA, ensuring seamless hand‑offs.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a TV newsroom or control‑room setting, preferably in continuous live news.
• Demonstrated expertise covering global business, finance and economics.
• Strong editorial judgment, excellent writing and copy‑editing abilities.
• Proven track record of career progression and leadership potential.
• Flexibility to work early‑morning shifts and adapt to a high‑pressure environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
