Low Latency C++ Developer – Hedge Fund (Hong Kong)

About the role

Our client, a leading global hedge fund, is expanding its Hong Kong technology team and is looking for a Low‑Latency C++ Developer. You will work on high‑performance trading and market‑data services that require sub‑millisecond response times.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise low‑latency services and applications using modern C++.
• Implement high‑performance components such as order handling, market‑data feed processing, risk checks and execution workflows.
• Profile, benchmark and tune systems to improve latency and throughput.
• Build and maintain efficient concurrency and I/O patterns, including threads, lock‑free structures and asynchronous I/O.
• Ensure robustness, reliability and observability of production trading systems.
• Collaborate with architects, testers and deployment engineers on latency‑critical solutions.

Required profile

• Strong experience developing high‑performance, production‑grade C++ applications.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and networking concepts.
• Proven ability to debug and profile performance issues.
• Experience with concurrent programming, including threads, atomics and synchronization.
• Good grasp of algorithmic and data‑structure fundamentals.
• Familiarity with market‑data or trading systems is a plus.
