Mechanical CAD Modeler – Product Development Engineer

About the role

Ristretto, a fast‑growing premium electric mobility company, is seeking a Mechanical CAD Modeler / Product Development Engineer to join its global product development team. This hands‑on position will focus on designing, prototyping, testing, and refining mechanical components for electric two‑wheelers, with an initial emphasis on the bashguard assembly.

Key responsibilities

• Create and refine detailed 3D CAD models for vehicle components and assemblies.
• Translate industrial design concepts into manufacturable parts such as brackets, guards, mounts, enclosures, and structural components.
• Produce production drawings, define tolerances, and maintain accurate revision control.
• Develop, prototype, and test the bashguard, evaluating fit, structural performance, durability, and integration with the vehicle platform.
• Coordinate prototype manufacturing, conduct impact, vibration, and durability testing, and document results.
• Iterate designs based on test data, engineering feedback, and manufacturing constraints.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles and work directly with suppliers to resolve manufacturability issues.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with 3D CAD modeling and mechanical component development.
• Proven ability to prototype, test, and validate mechanical parts.
• Comfort working collaboratively with industrial designers, engineers, and manufacturing partners across APAC.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design iterations.
