Pricing Manager, Asia

About the role

Linklaters is looking for a Pricing Manager, Asia, to expand the firm's pricing capability for complex legal matters, including those with technology and AI-assisted delivery components. The role acts as a recognised expert in complex matter pricing, advises partners and senior stakeholders, and leads the development of advanced pricing capabilities, including GenAI-assisted delivery and alternative fee arrangements (AFAs).

Key responsibilities

• Develop, analyse and review commercial proposals for high-value, multi-jurisdictional or technologically advanced matters, and support fee proposal submissions through governance committees.
• Advise partners, managers and teams on pricing strategies, including financial modelling, scenario and fee structure analysis, and negotiation planning.
• Build and maintain pricing models and best-practice guidance, and recommend fee arrangements from AFAs to hourly rates or hybrid models.
• Support client panel processes, advise on commercial positioning and coordinate pricing inputs across jurisdictions.
• Work with billers and lawyers on the administration of AFAs and identify training needs for pricing.
• Produce bespoke financial modelling, track commercial terms through negotiation, and negotiate directly with clients, including travel.
• Share pricing insights and trends with the global pricing network, and contribute to thought leadership.

Required profile

• Exceptionally strong financial numeracy; qualified accountant desirable.
• Experience of pricing in a client, legal or consultancy capacity desirable.
• Experience in legal operations, legal project management or a client-side legal function desirable.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and ability to network.
