Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead daily food production for airline catering, ensuring meals are prepared according to flight schedules, customer requirements and menu specifications. This role coordinates with logistics and procurement, standardises workflows and drives continuous improvement across a high‑volume operation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage daily food production aligned with flight schedules and menu specifications.
• Coordinate with internal logistics and procurement to secure timely supply of materials.
• Establish and standardise kitchen workflows and production processes.
• Lead production teams, delivering quality and efficiency while fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Develop and implement structured training programmes to support business growth.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, GMP and customer‑specific quality standards, conducting inspections and audits.
• Manage raw materials, inventory, recipe accuracy, yield control and portion standardisation to minimise waste and control costs.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, workflow and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in large‑scale catering, airline catering or food manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing production operations and teams in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of large‑scale food production and airline catering operations.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a time‑sensitive environment and willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
