Project Architect – Hong Kong

About the role

HOK is seeking a Project Architect to join its dynamic international team in Hong Kong. The role involves leading technical design development and ensuring that architectural solutions align with the project’s design intent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural technical systems and detailed solutions supporting the overall design intent.
• Create 2D and 3D design studies to evaluate optimal solutions.
• Coordinate design development, production, and delivery as the technical leader of the project team.
• Contribute to project delivery strategies and collaborate with external consultants.
• Assist in client communications to clarify short‑term and long‑term design objectives.
• Supervise junior staff and report progress to senior architects and technical directors.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of architectural experience, preferably with construction‑phase drawings.
• Registered architect status (HKIA, AIA, RIBA, or PRC equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of architectural construction methodology and building systems.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• US project experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• LEED accreditation (AP or GA) required within 12 months of employment.
• Demonstrated ability to produce technical design solutions.
