Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead global sourcing and procurement activities for electronic components, PCBs, mechanical parts, packaging, and indirect materials. This senior position is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, driving cost‑reduction initiatives, and ensuring uninterrupted material supply across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts and supply agreements with strategic suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews and executive‑level business reviews to mitigate supply‑chain risks, shortages and allocation issues.
• Drive inventory optimisation, working‑capital improvement and excess‑inventory reduction.
• Support RFQ, NPI, customer programmes and business‑growth initiatives in close collaboration with PMT, PMC, Engineering, Quality, Operations and Finance.
• Lead, coach and develop procurement teams, drive process improvements, digital transformation and compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of procurement and supply‑chain experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Experience in EMS, electronics manufacturing, OEM/ODM or high‑volume manufacturing environments.
• Proven track record managing multinational suppliers and global sourcing programmes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply‑Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field; MBA or professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM, CPM, APICS) is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese.
