Regional Smart Buildings / Operational Technology Manager

About the role

JLL is seeking an experienced Regional Smart Buildings / Operational Technology (OT) Manager to support its global Financial Services client. The role implements intelligent and sustainable facility solutions across the APAC region, managing OT and cyber security initiatives in line with global strategy and standards set by the Global Director. It combines regional leadership with hands-on technical work, and is based on-site in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Help the Global Director execute the Target Operating Model (TOM) for OT and Building Control Systems (BCS) and build regional frameworks, processes and governance
• Manage OT network implementation, standards, segmentation and incident response across regional smart buildings
• Implement OT security controls (segmentation, access control, patch management) for BMS, EPMS, DCIM and SCADA systems in line with IEC 62443
• Monitor threats, run vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIS2, DORA, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, local building codes and data privacy laws
• Report regional KPIs, own OT and BCS metrics and coordinate with client stakeholders and the Global Director
• Deliver OT security training, mentor engineering teams and act as subject matter expert for vendors and suppliers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• 8-10+ years in OT environments with cyber security expertise, including building automation systems (BMS/SCADA/DCIM)
• 5+ years in the assigned region
• Experience with OT lifecycle management and operating model transformation
• Hands-on technical work alongside strategic leadership

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of OT infrastructure, BMS, EPMS, DCIM and SCADA, and OT network security
• Cyber security frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82, ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, DORA)
• OT protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LonWorks, MQTT and smart building ontologies (Brick, Haystack)
• Preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, building automation certification and vendor platform training (Trend, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara)
