Restaurant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of our Chinese cuisine restaurant, ensuring high-quality service, cost efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The role involves overseeing daily operations, budgeting, marketing, staff training, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and implement operational budgets and work plans while overseeing daily restaurant operations.
• Develop marketing plans and short‑term operating budgets, leading staff to meet or exceed targets.
• Establish and refine restaurant rules, service procedures, and standards, supervising their implementation.
• Manage revenue and expenses, set menu prices, supervise purchasing and inventory, and ensure effective cost control.
• Monitor management staff performance, enforce service standards, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Appoint, supervise, and evaluate department heads and other subordinates.
• Organise training programs to enhance service and culinary skills.
• Cultivate strong guest relations, handle feedback and complaints, and improve service quality.
• Prioritise safety and food hygiene, enforce food safety laws, and conduct regular safety and fire‑prevention training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with formal training in food and beverage management.
• Over 8 years of experience in food and beverage management, specifically Chinese cuisine.
• Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese (Chinese and English).
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, cost control, facility maintenance, marketing, and food nutrition and hygiene.

• Strong organisational and management abilities, including scientific operational planning and cost control.
• Effective scheduling and rational work allocation.
• Ability to oversee adherence to service protocols and food quality standards.
• Excellent verbal communication and business report writing skills.
