Sales Development Representative, SME & Growth, Hong Kong

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses worldwide, is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) based in its Hong Kong office. The role focuses on generating and qualifying leads to build the Hong Kong SME and start-up sales pipeline. You will engage with prospects, identify high-value opportunities and manage early sales funnel activities, with opportunities to progress as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate contact with potential customers by email outreach or cold calling and follow up on designated touchpoints in a customer journey
• Move quality leads through the funnel, connect them to a salesperson and arrange meetings
• Build relationships with prospects to uncover needs through effective questioning and qualify interest and viability before handing off to sales
• Update activity and contact information in the CRM system and support reporting
• Test different types of touchpoints and recommend outreach strategies and best practices, contributing to best practice as the team grows
• Share feedback and insights with Marketing to improve targeting and messaging
• Work closely with the designated Account Executive on handover and the first call

Required profile

• Track record of top performance or prior success in an SDR-related role
• Target-oriented, customer-focused and process-driven, with strong prioritisation skills
• Team player who can also work independently, and self-starter able to thrive in a hyper-growth environment
• Strong interest in technology and/or financial services
