Scaffold Operations Manager

About the role

Buildsafe is seeking an experienced Scaffold Operations Manager to own the end‑to‑end delivery of scaffold projects, from the initial purchase order to a safe, quality installation on site. You will lead crews, manage workflow, and be accountable for safety, quality and branch performance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Buildsafe policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Conduct site audits, attend meetings and keep training, competencies and high‑risk work tickets up to date.
• Manage the full job lifecycle: receive PO, review scaffold CADs, coordinate with drafting, estimating and customer service, chase missing information, model jobs, allocate labour and raise purchase orders.
• Build job calendars, communicate schedules, perform pre‑site inspections and relay detailed specifications to clients and internal teams.
• Oversee quality installation of scaffolding and height‑safety systems, ensure accurate data entry, monitor invoicing and branch profitability, and meet all reporting and documentation requirements.
• Represent Buildsafe professionally with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in scaffolding, construction or height‑safety environments.
• Relevant scaffolding qualifications and high‑risk work tickets.
• Ability to lead by example, hold teams accountable and solve problems efficiently.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
