Security Systems Coordinator

About the role

The Security Systems & Operations Coordinator ensures the safety and security of the HKIS campus by administering, monitoring and maintaining CCTV, access control, alarm and visitor management systems. The role works closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to keep all security technologies operational and aligned with school requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain CCTV, access control (iMS), alarm, visitor management and related security systems, including monitoring, footage review and coordination of repairs.
• Administer access control user profiles, permissions, card issuance and key management, and track related issues.
• Oversee the Visitor Management System and coordinate with the Venue and Events Management System for stakeholder requirements.
• Maintain security documentation, incident reporting, safety inspections, audits and compliance records.
• Investigate serious incidents, analyse trends, prepare reports and implement preventive measures.
• Handle procurement of security equipment, from quotation to purchase order tracking.
• Provide administrative support for the Security Team, including staff scheduling, rostering, leave administration and training coordination.

Required profile

• Diploma in a security‑related discipline with professional security management training.
• 5–8 years of experience in safety and security management, including multi‑use car‑park management.
• Strong English communication skills; Cantonese a plus.
• Knowledge of local safety and security regulations and government ordinances.

Required skills

• CCTV operation, design and implementation.
• Access control software (iMS) for creating groups, generating reports and producing cards.
• Visitor Management System (VMS) and Venue and Events Management System (VEMS) usage.
• First aid and fire‑safety knowledge, including fire‑suppression systems.
