Senior Accountant

About the role

BBPOS, now part of Stripe’s Terminal business, is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the month‑end close and financial reporting for its Hong Kong operations. You will work closely with the global Stripe finance team to ensure accurate books, compliance and timely insights for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end month‑end close process for Hong Kong, preparing detailed schedules, managing expense accruals and compiling Stripe group reporting packages.
• Perform quarterly accounts‑receivable and inventory provision calculations, maintaining data integrity and compliance.
• Oversee high‑volume vendor invoice processing and trade accounts payable, ensuring correct categorisation and timely settlement.
• Develop automated workflows using Power Automate and VBA to streamline recurring financial tasks and accelerate reporting.
• Execute judgment‑heavy reconciliations for customer and supplier statements, support bi‑annual audits and enforce rigorous budget checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 10‑15 years of corporate accounting experience with a proven record of optimising manual finance processes.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel functions: array formulas, nested IF statements, INDEX‑MATCH.
• Extensive use of PivotTables and PivotCharts for real‑time reporting.
• Proficiency with Power Query and Power Pivot for complex data modelling and consolidation.
• Experience building VBA macros and Power Automate flows for process automation.
