Senior Building Services Engineer (MEP) – Hong Kong

About the role

AEE is looking for an experienced Engineer or Senior Engineer specialized in Building Services/MEP to join its Hong Kong team. The position is full‑time, based in Wong Chuk Hang, and focuses on luxury retail, hospitality and F&B projects for prestigious international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, specify and oversee MEP installation for high‑end projects.
• Perform detailed calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and documentation using BIM and CAD tools.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to verify installations meet design specifications.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and resources for timely, cost‑effective delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4–8 years of MEP design experience in an engineering consultancy (or 8+ years for senior level).
• Experience on luxury retail, hospitality or F&B fit‑out projects.
• Exposure to projects in mainland China and Southeast Asia.
• Ability to work independently with strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience using BIM and CAD software.
• Knowledge of ELV/ICT/Security Systems design (optional).
• Familiarity with green building rating systems such as LEED or BEAM Plus (optional).
• Understanding of renewable energy systems and sustainable design (optional).
