Senior Finance Consultant – Financial Services

About the role

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Limited is seeking a Senior Finance Consultant to join its Finance team in Hong Kong. You will work with leading financial services clients to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and automation of their finance and accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide recommendations to improve the financial statement close process and design Target Operating Models.
• Deliver controls and process uplift through rationalisation, improvement and automation.
• Perform data mapping and analysis to support finance process and controls enhancements.
• Develop automated accounting and financial reporting solutions for client reporting teams.
• Support testing activities for finance systems (SIT/UAT/E2E) and assist with issue resolution and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑border teams and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure project success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in audit or finance, preferably with Big‑4 or financial sector exposure.
• Strong client service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Good understanding of IFRS 17/LDTI and SOX/ICFR requirements.
• Fluent spoken and written English; Cantonese and Mandarin preferred.
