Senior Manager - Cooling Implementation

About the role

The Senior Manager – Cooling Implementation leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver building cooling and district‑cooling projects across Hong Kong. This branch‑head position oversees project planning, construction, and handover while ensuring safety, cost‑effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support business development by creating construction and implementation plans for HVAC systems that are safe, cost‑effective and maintainable.
• Develop civil & structural (C&S) and mechanical, electrical & plumbing (MEP) cost estimates, assess buildability and identify construction risks from proposal to commissioning.
• Lead value‑engineering exercises, prepare customer proposals and tender submissions.
• Manage outsourcing strategies, supervise service providers and monitor performance against service‑level agreements.
• Assemble and lead a project management team to oversee contractors, suppliers and equipment procurement, ensuring compliance with safety, budget and timeline standards.
• Oversee site management plans, method statements, material submissions, spatial coordination, testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate defect rectification, ensure proper handover to the cooling operations team and address customer complaints during construction.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, environmental and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement of internal processes.

Required profile

• University degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years in a managerial role leading sizable teams.
• Proven track record in large‑scale new‑build HVAC and central chiller plant projects in Hong Kong, with experience in district‑cooling projects considered advantageous.

Required skills

• HVAC air‑side and water‑side system design, operation and maintenance.
• Civil & Structural (C&S) and Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) construction management.
