Senior Receptionist – Happy Valley Clubhouse

About the role

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking a Senior Receptionist to manage the front‑of‑house experience at the Trio restaurant in the Happy Valley Clubhouse. You will be the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and professional service from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, handle reservations and confirm daily bookings for members, including restaurant and hydroponic farm tours.
• Allocate tables using the Table Management System, balancing member preferences and floor‑plan efficiency.
• Welcome and escort members and guests to their tables, introduce servers, and address initial queries.
• Assist restaurant staff with cleanliness, table clearing, and facility inspections.
• Engage with customers to confirm satisfaction, resolve complaints, and direct issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate member records in the Table Management System and MBCUS.
• Ensure the reception area remains clean, tidy, and well‑groomed at all times.
• Oversee menu printing, keep menus clean and presentable, and promote club products and services.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant front‑desk or hospitality experience.
• Excellent people and communication skills in English.
• Professional appearance and high grooming standards.
• Ability to handle special requests, including accommodations for children, disabilities, and food allergies.
• Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to support colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Table Management System and MBCUS.
• Experience in reservation handling and menu printing processes.
• Customer‑service orientation with problem‑solving abilities.
