Senior Software Engineer – Event Logging & Inventory Management

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of standardized event logging and related functionality across our Equities inventory management and trading platforms. The role will involve building a centralized event view layer, creating tools for system‑wide event capture, and optimizing inventory calculators for market‑specific deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of standardized event logging services.
• Design and implement a centralized event view layer and supporting tools.
• Optimize inventory management calculators with market‑by‑market configurations.
• Conduct unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure product quality.
• Follow the established Software Development Lifecycle (SDL) and contribute to ongoing BAU enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong background in streaming‑based microservices using Kafka Streams or Flink.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with Spring Boot.
• 3+ years working with modern front‑end frameworks such as Angular or ReactJS and AG Grid.
• Familiarity with data serialization formats like Avro, JSON, and Protobuf.
• Experience with build and automation tools such as Autosys, Jenkins, and Maven.
• Optional knowledge of Oracle, kdb+/q databases and Apache Ignite is a plus.
