Senior Tax Manager – Global Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join GMI Cloud’s rapidly expanding global finance team. The role will serve as the primary internal tax advisor, partnering with Finance, Legal, HR, and Debt Financing teams on commercial contracts, cross‑border transactions, and financing arrangements. You will translate complex tax considerations into practical business recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise Finance, Legal and business units on tax implications of contracts, payment structures and cross‑border transactions, identifying risks and opportunities early.
• Partner with the Debt Financing team to provide tax guidance throughout deal lifecycles, including structuring, withholding tax and financing terms.
• Oversee corporate and employment tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, managing filings, estimated payments and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross‑border ESOP planning, compliance and employee education, and support tax aspects of entity setup, market entry and global mobility.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, ensure timely delivery of compliance work and continuously improve tax processes and controls.

Required profile

• CPA, JD or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 5‑10 years of tax experience, including at least 5 years in a Big 4 firm and 2 years in‑house.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate tax; familiarity with U.S. employment tax is required.
• Exposure to APAC tax jurisdictions (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, SEA) is an advantage.
• Experience advising on commercial contracts, cross‑border payments and debt financing transactions.
