Site Reliability Engineer – Trading (Hong Kong)

About the role

Our client, a leading FinTech trading firm, is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Linux Platform Engineer to manage and enhance their low‑latency Linux environment. The role blends Linux systems engineering with SRE practices, focusing on building, designing and supporting automated, scalable deployment solutions across private and public cloud infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated deployment pipelines for low‑latency trading systems.
• Maintain and optimise Linux estates in both private and public cloud environments.
• Work on project‑based initiatives as well as day‑to‑day operational (BAU) tasks.
• Drive automation across the platform using modern DevOps tools.
• Collaborate with development and trading teams to ensure reliability and performance.

Required profile

• Strong background in Linux system administration.
• Hands‑on experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, or Ansible).
• Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and container runtimes (Docker or Podman).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and scripting in Python.
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code concepts and tools.
