Software Engineer – C++ Performance Systems

About the role

A leading financial services firm in Hong Kong is seeking a C++ Engineer to design and develop high‑performance systems that support critical financial applications across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance C++ applications.
• Build scalable and reliable systems within a Linux environment.
• Develop and enhance multithreaded and distributed applications.
• Improve system performance, reliability and scalability.
• Work across the full development lifecycle from design to production.
• Investigate complex technical and production issues and implement long‑term solutions.
• Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders across the region.

Required profile

• Strong commercial C++ development experience.
• Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms and computer‑science fundamentals.
• Solid experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Proven experience in multithreading, concurrency and performance optimisation.
• Good knowledge of systems programming, memory management and networking.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work in an international environment.
