About the role
The restaurant is seeking a professional Sommelier to support the Wine Director, deliver exceptional wine service, and contribute to the overall beverage program in an Italian casual dining setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Wine Director and wine team in monitoring all wine and beverage related matters.
- Serve wine orders in a professional manner following the hotel standard procedures.
- Recommend and sell wines and other beverages to guests.
- Carry out monthly stock control and inventory, continuously updating stock forms.
- Assist in the floor operations of the outlet.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in a sizeable luxury hotel as a sommelier, with at least 2 years in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Putonghua and Cantonese is an advantage.
- Excellent food and beverage knowledge.
- High professional standards with strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Holder of a WSET certificate is preferred, with strong beverage knowledge.
