Structural Design Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our ABWF Design Team. You will collaborate with engineers, designers and coordinators to deliver design solutions for building and civil engineering projects, primarily in the hospital and commercial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for project teams on design deliverables.
• Prepare and review drawings, sketches and reports, ensuring coordination with architectural and building services disciplines.
• Address design queries, raise Requests for Information (RFIs) and support the review of subcontractor shop drawings.
• Develop and review temporary works designs and liaise with the construction team on constructability.
• Utilise design management tools to track, report and monitor progress of design packages.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to complete engineering design reviews and improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience on hospital or building projects.
• Knowledge of temporary works design.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
