System & Application Architect

About the role

We are seeking a senior System & Application Architect to lead enterprise‑level IT system planning and application architecture design. The role will own architecture reviews, drive global technical decisions, and shape long‑term technology roadmaps for a large organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise‑level IT system technical planning, application architecture design, and architecture reviews.
• Coordinate planning, selection, design, and long‑term optimization of foundational platforms such as container clouds, middleware, and databases to ensure stability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Conduct feasibility assessments and define migration strategies for moving legacy systems to cloud platforms, resolving technical challenges during cut‑over.
• Oversee legacy system modernization, indigenous/secure innovation (信创) architectures, and design multi‑center disaster‑recovery and contingency solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on architecture design experience in large enterprises, preferably in the telecom or state‑owned sector.
• Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end digital/intelligent transformation projects.
• Ability to produce professional technical proposals, mid/long‑term strategy plans, and enterprise‑wide architecture designs.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in cloud‑native full‑stack technologies and building Kubernetes (K8s) container platforms from zero to one.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and high‑availability, high‑concurrency design for distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least two of Java, Go, and Python, with capability to perform code reviews and architecture‑level optimization.
• Experience with middleware, databases, container orchestration, cloud migration, legacy system modernization, and disaster‑recovery design.
