Technical Officer II – Maintenance (Power Generation)

About the role

The Technical Officer II – Maintenance will join the Generation Business Group at Black Point Power Station, reporting to the Team Leader. The role involves multidisciplinary teamwork to ensure safe, efficient, and standards‑compliant maintenance of plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently and to engineering standards.
• Monitor work progress against schedule, design specifications, codes of practice and budget.
• Analyse equipment faults, diagnose defects and arrange appropriate spares.
• Prepare, review and update maintenance documentation and reports.
• Recommend innovative changes to improve efficiency, safety, asset performance and cost effectiveness.
• Provide on‑the‑job technical supervision and guidance to frontline workers and contractors.

Required profile

• Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Mechanical/Engineering with at least 2 years relevant experience, or Ordinary Certificate with at least 4 years experience.
• Solid experience in maintenance of turbines, turbine auxiliary equipment or other heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with Safety, Health and Environment regulations and strong safety awareness.
• Experience in inventory control and material management is an advantage.
• General computer skills in Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Proven supervisory, interpersonal and communication abilities.
