Technical Services Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Manager – Technical Services Maintenance leads hands‑on maintenance, repair and continuous improvement of all technical systems at Kai Tak Sports Park, including AV over IP networks, LED screens, digital signage and broadcast infrastructure. The role is split roughly 70% technical work and 30% team leadership, supporting seamless operations for sports, entertainment and community events.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on LED screens, video walls, digital signage and audiovisual systems, including fault diagnosis and panel repairs.
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot AV over IP networks (switching, routing, VLAN, QoS) and ensure optimal bandwidth, latency and performance.
• Install, configure and maintain enterprise‑grade network equipment (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper) and fibre‑optic components, documenting topologies and IP schemes.
• Lead and mentor an engineer and a network engineer, develop maintenance schedules, manage spare‑part inventory and coordinate vendor support.
• Provide technical support during event setup, live operations and breakdown, including after‑hours and weekend coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Network Engineering, IT, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in AV maintenance, LED screen repair and network engineering in large‑scale venue or broadcast environments.
• Physical ability to work at height, lift equipment up to 25 kg and operate in technical spaces.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as events require.

Required skills

• LED screen repair and diagnostics.
• AV over IP implementation (switching, routing, VLAN, QoS).
• Network protocols: TCP/IP, multicast, IGMP, PTP, VLAN.
• AV standards: SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, Dante.
• Enterprise network equipment configuration (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper).
• Fibre‑optic systems and cable termination.
• Digital signage content management platforms.
• Network monitoring and performance analysis tools.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CTS (preferred).
