Volunteer: Distribution Client Care Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated volunteer to support the Hong Kong Distribution Centre of Crossroads Foundation. The role involves welcoming clients, assisting them in selecting donated goods, and ensuring a respectful and efficient experience. Commitment is at least one day per week for a minimum of three months, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one‑hour lunch break.

Key responsibilities

• Handle client and NGO inquiries by phone or email, providing clear information about available donations and procedures.
• Welcome onsite clients, accompany them as they choose donated items, and gather feedback through surveys or informal conversations.
• Assist beneficiaries in completing their orders, coordinate the packing and delivery of goods, and arrange any necessary logistics.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment, including light cleaning, tidying shelves, and occasional heavy lifting of boxes.
• Enter stock data accurately into the inventory system, ensuring records reflect current availability.

Required profile

• Hospitable and proactive attitude, able to engage warmly with diverse clients.
• Willingness to perform occasional heavy lifting (helpful but not essential).
