Waiter – The Eighth Happy Bar

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Waiter to join the team at The Eighth Happy Bar in Happy Valley. You will greet members and their guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and help create a welcoming dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, seat them, and build quick rapport using a positive demeanor.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, verify age for alcoholic drinks, and communicate orders to the kitchen.
• Present menus, explain preparation options, recommend dishes, and upsell where appropriate.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly, ensuring hot items remain hot and cold items stay cold.
• Check guest satisfaction, address any issues politely, and reset tables for the next guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation, tableware, and side stations, and replenish supplies as needed.
• Assist the Captain with side duties, including preparing mise‑en‑place and checking bills.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a hotel, club or restaurant setting.
• Good communication skills in English and Chinese, with basic Mandarin knowledge.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and follow health and safety standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in taking and processing orders accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety and beverage service standards.
