Waiter/Waitress – Racecourse Service

About the role

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking enthusiastic waitstaff to support food and beverage operations at its Happy Valley and Sha Tin racecourses. You will deliver prompt, courteous service to members, guests and corporate clients in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages promptly, replenish drinks, and take additional orders as needed.
• Set and clear tables, ensuring proper placement of tableware, decorations, condiments and napkins.
• Maintain adequate stock of tableware and consumables for daily operations.
• Keep the workstation tidy, clean, hygienic and safe at all times.
• Assist with any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of restaurant experience in hotels, clubs or similar establishments.
• Good customer service attitude, patience and problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and pay attention to detail.
• Effective communication in English; Cantonese and Mandarin are an advantage.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of restaurant etiquette and tableside service.
• Basic familiarity with food, wine, beer, liquor, sake and Chinese wine.
