Workshop Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Join Hitachi Rail's Customer Service Team for the Revenue Collection System (RCS) that supports major transport operators in Hong Kong. The Workshop Maintenance Engineer is responsible for keeping the system running smoothly through hands‑on maintenance, technical problem solving, and knowledge transfer.

Key responsibilities

• Perform workshop maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and reporting.
• Investigate technical problems, diagnose root causes, and deliver effective solutions.
• Train technicians and junior technicians on maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Develop, revise, and maintain work instructions to ensure consistent processes.
• Continuously improve workshop processes for efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering (Computer, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical).
• Strong leadership abilities with experience working in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a service‑oriented attitude.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English.

Required skills

• Electronics repair down to component level.
• Computer system setup and configuration.
• Network switch installation and configuration.
